Work commenced in the Municipality of Greenstone, at Blackwater Tributary Culvert site, on June 01, 2022. The Sharp Group installed a precast rigid frame box culvert. Work on site was completed by mid July.

2019-6061 Rossmere & Wawiag

Work began on removing and replacing the existing structure at Rossmere Creek in September of 2020. A corrugated steel pipe was installed. Site work was completed by the beginning of November 2020. 

The Sharp Group commenced work at Wawiag Creek site in June of 2021. A corrugated steel pipe was also used at this site to replace the existing structure. Site work was completed in July of 2021.

The Sharp Group traveled to Flanders Road at Lady Rapids South of Highway 11 in July of 2019. Work commenced on site at Namakan River in August of 2019. A 160' modular bridge was used to replace the existing structure. Work on site was completed by the beginning of October 2019.

Ahren's Bridge

The Sharp Group commenced work on removing and replacing this structure in early May of 2019. The structure is located on Sturgeon Creek Road in Chapple Township (Barwick, On). The existing structure was removed and replaced with a 27.2 meter, single span, concrete box girder, with cast in place deck. Work was completed at this site mid July 2019.

The Sharp Group commenced work on Coker River Bridge, located North of Kenora Ontario, on Coker Road, at the beginning of July 2019. The existing structure was removed and replaced with a bailey bridge. Work on site was completed at the end of July 2019.

The Sharp Group began work at Vargyas Road: South of Gouliquer Road between Hwy 617 and Hwy 619, in early October of 2018. The existing structure was removed and a new hi-beam bridge was installed in it's place. Work was completed in late October 2018.

Design Build 2017-6018, Culvert Replacements

The Sharp Group installed a triple barrel culvert at Pinewood River Tributary #2 located on Highway 617. Triple barrel culverts were also installed at Maximillian and Sims culverts', located on Highway 71. A twin barrel culvert was used to replace the existing culvert at Toby Hill, also located on Highway 71. Located on Highway 11, Dilke Creek culvert was removed and replaced with a single barrel pipe culvert. Work commenced on this project late May 2018, and was completed September 2018.

Highways 619 and 621, Culvert Replacements

The Sharp Group began work on a project consisting of 3 individual sites. Gerhard and Petersons' existing culverts located on Highway 619, were replaced with twin concrete box culverts. The culvert replacement at Brusvine located on Highway 621, consisted of a multi plate 4m culvert being installed. Work commenced on this project in early July of 2017 and was completed by the end of November 2017.

Gagne, Mills, Caribus, Flood Creek East and Flood Creek West, all culverts located on Highway 11B. Work began to replace the existing culverts at each of these sites, with Multi-plate elipse culverts, in May of 2017. Work concluded at these sights in late October 2017.

    A project located 27 km north of Pickle Lake, Ontario began in July, 2016. The Crow River Bridge was replaced with a Mabey Compact modular panel bridge. The highway was closed for less than the alloted time of four days.

Replacement of the MTO - Ottertail Bridge, located on Pearson Road began in October and was completed in November 5, 2015, ahead of schedule.  A 120 ft. modular replacement structure was put in place.

Falcon Lake, Manitoba - 2015

The prep work on a bridge replacement on Falcon Lake, located northwest of Kenora, on the Manitoba border began in August, 2015 and was done in October, 2015.  Work will resume in February, 2016 with placement of an Accro Bridge for the City of Winnipeg.

Elbow Creek and Sturgeon River, Ignace, Ontario

Two bridges located north of Ignace on Hwy 599 were installed.  An open bottom arch bridge was installed at Elbow Creek and a 72 ft. Box Beam Concrete structure was installed at Sturgeon River. This project began in June, 2015 and was completed on-time in October, 2015.

Pic River Hydro Dam, White River, Ontario

Bridge repairs were done on the Pic River Hydro Dam Bridge in White River, Ontario in June, 2015.  This time sensitive project saw the replacement of the bridge with a 100 & 110 ft. permanent structures with 3 temporary works.  Project was completed in a 3 week time frame.  The temporary structure will be removed in March.

Off Lake Bridge, Emo, Ontario - 2014

The Sharp Group began work on the Off Lake Bridge, located north of Emo, Ontario on Hwy 615, on September 3, 2014. A completion date of November 7, 2014 saw them well ahead of schedule. This job consisted of replacing an existing wooden pile, timber deck with a concrete overlay bridge, with a brand new 100 ft. double-lane Mabey Modular Bridge.

Little Grassy Culvert, Bergland, Ontario - 2014

The aging culvert located on Hwy 600, west of Hwy 621, near Bergland, Ontario required replacing.  Three galvanized pipe culverts were replaced with a precast culvert structure.  It was critical to meet the road closure deadline of 6 days, since the detour was long. The Sharp Group was able to complete this job in the time allotted.

Little Grassy River Bridge, Bergland, Ontario - 2014

The Sharp Group started work on the Little Grassy River Bridge, North of Hwy 600, located next to the Bergland Store commencing on July 14th, 2014.  The timber pile with wooden deck, double-lane bridge was replaced with a new 100' double-lane Mabey Modular Bridge.  A detour route was required during this construction.  Final paving was completed in August, 2014, ahead of schedule.

Yongeberg Bridge, Bergland, Ontario - 2014

This bridge is located east of Bergland, Ontario, on Hwy 600.  A 120ft double-lane modular bridge replaced the aging timber pile/wooden deck bridge.  The Yongeberg project was completed in July, 2014.

Seven Mile Bridge, Fort Frances, Ontario - 2014

In mid-May work began on the Seven Mile Bridge located on Rainy Lake, east of Fort Frances, Ontario.  A multi-span bridge was removed and replaced with a new clear span 120ft concrete box girder bridge.  Traffic density was high at this location and as the smooth flow of traffic was ensured.  Completion took place mid-October, 2014.

Panko Narrow Bridge, Manitoba

Acrow Panel Bridge at Panko Narrows Bridge job site.  The bridge work in this northern Manitoba location was completed in harsh winter conditions in March of 2014.  It is important to note that the construction of this bridge assists in extending the winter road access in northern Manitoba

North Current River, Thunder Bay, Ontario

The collapse of a culvert on Hwy 527 on the North Current River created an emergency situation requiring immediate replacement. A temporary modular bridge was installed for traffic while work on the 12.5 metre clear span, multi-plated arch culvert was completed. This project was completed quickly and efficiently within the time constraints.

Removal of existing concrete culvert and construction of modular panel bridge is currently in progress at the Rainy River Tributary bridge site located outside of Fort Frances, Ontario.  Road closure for the improvements to the culvert commenced August 9th and tentative date for road re-opening is slated for August 30th.  Detour access around the job site via Oakwood Road and Bone Road.
